Psalm 34: 5: “They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”

Giselle's Devotional, by Giselle.

I believe that Jesus Himself was able to go through all that He underwent, because His Eyes were on His Father, leaving us an example to follow. He was not blinded by what was happening around Him; in fact, He was constantly letting people know what their thoughts were. It often takes me back that even to this day some people think they can pull the wool over God’s Eyes, and of those who have their eyes set on Him. I do not mean that the Lord will let us in on everybody’s life details, but He will give us discernment in the things that pertain to our spiritual walk, and the people with whom we have to interact.

While in full time street outreach Ministry, the one great gift I remember to be predominant within me was the ability to love and see the persons who came to us with Divine compassion. The answer was to go daily year after year to the Lord for replenishing, so that we could give what we first received from God.

John 6: 63: says, “It is the Spirit Who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the Words that I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.” No one can ever be fully effective without the Lord imparting His Divine gifts of discernment and discerning of spirits. Colossians 3: 2: says, “Set your minds on the things above, not on the things of the earth.” Every day we have the choice to look at our circumstances, and possibly be overwhelmed, or look to God Who is the answer to all we could possibly need. In all the things that we then see, and perceive in the Lord, we are better prepared to face each day.

Isaiah 26: 4: says, “Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord we have an everlasting Rock,” and in verse 12: we read, “Lord, Thou wilt establish peace for us, since Thou hast also preformed for us all our works.” The secret to victory, and the above verse’s fulfillment in our life, is to adhere to what God’s Word demands, so that we are found trustworthy, faithful and pleasing in His Sight;

 Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so much for all the times where you have given us Divine knowledge. Thank You for the protection and guidance You continue to give us each day, as we look to You for direction and Divine resources, that we may be equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3: 17. Glory to You alone!
