This verse came to me as I was thinking about all the wickedness in the world. We are sometimes fooled into thinking that there are billions of people whose heart is completely sold out to the Lord, but it is plain to see by the actions of so many, that not all hearts are toward Him, or intent on doing His Will.
Our hope is that the Lord is always seeking person by person, to see if there is a possibility for complete surrender, for Him to have a vessel through which He may have His purposes fulfilled. As we look into the Word of God from the beginning to the end, it is the one by one selection by the Lord which has influenced the whole world for good.
By His Holy Spirit today, we are able to respond to God’s desire for complete surrender of our will, in spite of what everybody else is doing. In 1 Samuel 16: 7b: the Lord says, “For God sees not as a man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” And the Lord also searches our heart through His Word, as Hebrews 4: 12 says, “ For the Word of God is Living and active and sharper than nay two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of the soul and spirit, of both joint and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and the intentions of the heart.
Jesus says in John 14: 23a + 24: “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word… he who does not love Me does not keep My Words, and the Word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s Who sent Me.
Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: I cannot thank You enough for Your Holy Spirit Who continues to pursue us to keep us from all error and deception, which are so prevalent in the world today. I pray for the millions who have followed once vibrant and true leaders into falsehood, that You may awaken in all the once bright burning of Your Fire within. Undertake to draw unto Yourself, O Lord, all who call upon Your Name in Spirit and Truth. O Lord keep us simple and totally Yours, till we all see You Face to face. I thank You Mostly again for Your Holy Word which enlightens us daily to Your Will and Way for our lives.Glory to You alone!
