Since we know that the Word of God is Spirit, and is alive and active, we also know that the Lord is not limited to keep His Word boxed in, and confined to times, places, or peoples. In the spiritual sense, we know that the Lord comes and rebuilds lives, so that all may see the wonders and testimonies of His works within a person who repents, and turns from his ruined life to the Lord’s Mercy. The Lord places a great emphasis on the enjoyment He has in restoring broken, contrite, and humble people. Jesus demonstrates His Divine mission on earth in Luke 4: 17 – 18: saying, “And the Book of the Prophet Isaiah was handed to Him (Jesus). And He opened the Book, and found the place where it was written (Isaiah 61: 1 – 2a), “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor (humble). He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” What a joy to know that the Lord had us in mind when He was reading these verses of Scripture, and that He is actively involved in performing His Word to this day!
