As much as I love reading and writing the Word every day, it is of the utmost importance to me that God’s Word does the speaking, which is why most of these daily devotionals contain so many Scriptures. The Word of God is more than able to speak for itself; it is what the Lord has to say that determines everything in life. Genesis 1: 1: “In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth;” God’s first words to us from His blueprints for our lives, and Revelation 22: 21: “The grace of our Lord Jesus be with all. Amen;” God’s final Words spoken to us in the Bible. And everything written in-between is for our instruction in building our lives, and making it safely to our eternal destination. John 1: 1 – 4 + 9 + 12: says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God, all things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. There was the true Light which coming into the world, enlightens every man.
