Isaiah 62: 3 says, “You will also be a crown of beauty in the Hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the Hand of your God.” What a wonderful privilege to be “restored” to such a place of beauty in God. Only He, in His righteousness, has the power to undo the effects from the ravages of sin, and a life lived apart from God. There is such a sense of unworthiness that comes from receiving the unmerited blessings and grace of God. In Isaiah 61: 10, we read, “I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” It is the Lord who personally blesses and clothes His own. Just as a tender and loving husband to his beloved wife, He desires us to be the pride of His eyes, adorned in the beauty of holiness, to be a boast for all to see, to be a crown in the Hand of the Lord for Him to display as He deems fit, or for Him to set aside in the privacy of His own audience.
