Zechariah 9: 16: And the Lord their God will save them in that day as the flock of His people; for they are the stones (precious jewels) of a crown, sparkling in His land.

Giselle's Devotional, by Giselle.

Isaiah 62: 3 says, “You will also be a crown of beauty in the Hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the Hand of your God.” What a wonderful privilege to be “restored” to such a place of beauty in God. Only He, in His righteousness, has the power to undo the effects from the ravages of sin, and a life lived apart from God. There is such a sense of unworthiness that comes from receiving the unmerited blessings and grace of God.

In Isaiah 61: 10, we read, “I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” It is the Lord who personally blesses and clothes His own. Just as a tender and loving husband to his beloved wife, He desires us to be the pride of His eyes, adorned in the beauty of holiness, to be a boast for all to see, to be a crown in the Hand of the Lord for Him to display as He deems fit, or for Him to set aside in the privacy of His own audience. What an infinite privilege to be “so loved.

Ephesians 1: 17 says, I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might.” Ephesians 3: 17 – 20 says, “So that Christ (Jesus) may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, and that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.”

Dearest Holy Lord Lord Jesus: Thank You so much for the revelation of the intensity of love which You have for Your people. Thank You that it is unlike anything our finite minds could ever fathom. Thank You for the fervency with which You long to adorn those who seek refuge in You, and make them a display as the object of Your unlimited love. May you continue to shower upon us all that You have in Your intention to do, and may we continue to be humbly and eternally grateful. Glory to You alone!
