Psalm 18: 49: “Therefore I will give thanks to Thee among the nations, O Lord, and I will sing praise to Thy Name.”

Giselle's Devotional, home-page, by Giselle.

What a joy to find an expression such as this one above, which represents what one feels within their heart, such as I do at this very moment. “The Lord has been way too good to me” is one of my favorite sayings; for He truly has. I could never in a millions years convey to Him enough thankfulness for all He has ever done for me and my family. Glory to Him alone! To be raised up from such poverty of spirit, to the place of being a witness of His continual faithfulness, is very humbling and overwhelming, to say the least.  I marvel at all the songs He has given me to see me through impassable places, so that I could share them with others who need to pass through their impossible places right now. He truly gives songs of deliverances (Psalm 32: 7). I also marvel at an entire lifetime of miracles and Divine interventions on our behalf; too many to numerate. The more we praise Him, the more He blesses us; and this is the message the Lord has placed upon our hearts to share with one and all; “Occupy yourself with praise, and He will take care of the rest.”

Psalm 22: 23 – 25: tells us, “You who fear the Lord, praise Him; all you descendant of Jacob, glorify Him and stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel. For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has He hidden His Face from him, but when he cried to Him for help, He heard. From Thee comes my praise in the great assembly; I shall pay my vows before those who fear Him. The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Him will praise the Lord.”

The Lord speaks to us in Isaiah 43: 21: saying, “The people whom I formed for Myself, will declare My praise.” O that we might all let ourselves be formed by the Lord, so that His praise might continually come out of our mouth. I have often shared that one will never get into trouble praising the Lord; and yet, I was proven wrong a few years back, when I learned that in a certain country, corporate gatherings were limited to home fellowships, and praise was absolutely forbidden. This is no longer fast becoming the exception, but rather the norm for way too many Christians around the world, as freedom of Fellowship in the Name of Jesus is challenged and restrained more and more.

Jesus tells us in John 9: 4: “We must work the works of Him Who sent Me, as long as it is day; night is coming, when no man can work.” The Lord has given us His Word to prove that when we need His Presence, as we begin to praise Him, He never fails to manifest Himself; as in Psalm 22: 3: which says, “Yet Thou art Holy, O Thou Who art enthroned (the Lord literally lives in the praises of His people) upon the praises of Israel (Thy people).”

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so very much for Your Mind-boggling faithfulness to me all through my lifetime. Come by Your Holy Spirit, and quicken all those who need an answer to their situation, that Praise is the answer, as it has been for me all these years. May we hear of mighty praise reports of Your Mighty Power released within the lives of those who step out in faith to activate this way of life as their own. Glory to You alone!
