Psalm 138: 8: “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou wilt revive me: Thou wilt stretch forth Thy Hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Thy right Hand will save me.”

Giselle's Devotional, home-page, by Giselle.

I am so glad today for the un-changeableness of God. I can depend on Him in every single situation, knowing that He remains faithful, loving, kind, steadfast, immoveable, and totally dependable. I may change from day to day, but His Word stays the same. People around me, and who love me the most will at one time or another let me down. The elements of nature such as wind, rain, heat, cold, all change from day to day and season to season. The volatile situations around the world, with unrest and uprisings, certainly do not bring any of us the slightest sense of security.  The Lord, however, remains the same in spite of all the varied changes that we could ever encounter. Most of all His Help is always available to secure our well-being, and to deal with any opposing force that could ever assail us.

In Malachi 3: 6, we read, “For I the Lord do not change, therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.” Hebrews 13: 5 says, “For He has said, I will never desert (abandon) you nor will I ever forsake you,” and verse 6 says, “so that we may confidently say, the Lord is my Helper, I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?” Psalm 27: 5 + 13 – 14: says, “For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His Shelter; in the Secret Place of His Tent He will hide me; He will lift me high upon a Rock. I would have despaired unless I believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait and hope expectantly for the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let you heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait and hope for and expect the Lord”

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: what a great sense of peace Your Holy Word gives us this morning. I am so thankful for Your unfailing Love and Care, which make us feel totally secure in You. Thank You for fulfilling Your Word to us, which says, “For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His Tabernacle; In the Secret Place of His Tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a Rock.” Glory to you alone!
