I am so very thankful for God’s amazing wisdom and love, in that He gave everyone the same opportunity to His phenomenal gift of Salvation, which is our faith. From earliest times with Abraham to this moment, the requirements for right standing with Him have not changed. We read this account in Genesis 15: 1 + 6: it says, “After these things the Word of the Lord came to Abram (Abraham) in a vision saying, “Do not fear Abram, I am a Shield to you; your reward shall be very great.” Then he (Abraham) believed the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.”
1 John 5: 3 – 5: says, “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. And who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? We know from these few lines that whether one is young, old, of whatever walk of life, or ethnic origin, we all have the same access to God’s precious gift and only way to Salvation, which is Jesus.
Romans 4: 16: tells us, “For this reason it is by faith, that it might be in accordance with Grace, in order that the promise may be certain (guaranteed, relied on, definitely known, fixed, settled, undeniable) to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.”
Galatians 3: 26 + 29: says, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ (Jesus), then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.” Also in Galatians 3: 6 – 7 + 9: Even so Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. Therefore be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham the believer.”
Romans 10: 8 – 11: says, “But what does it say? “The Word is near you in your mouth and in your heart”- that is, the Word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in Salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”
Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: I am also so very thankful that you made it simple enough for all of us to understand. Come by your Holy Spirit, and give Divine insight to any who may not have understood Your precious free plan of Salvation for all who would simply repent of their sins, believe, receive, and obey Jesus. Fill us afresh with child-like faith, that we may be found trustworthy, faithful and pleasing in Your Sight. Glory to You alone!
