This verse allows us a window into the depths of the knowledge of God, as He is able to appraise the very words of our mouths, and even the thoughts of our hearts. David the Psalmist acknowledges his personal responsibility and awareness, that he is answerable for his own behavior before a Mighty and Holy God. We are also confronted with the personal choice one has with the conversations that come out of one’s mouth.
