I am so glad that Jesus provided the Way in Himself that I could not only have a second chance at life, but that I could have hope for the unfolding purpose for which I was born.
Jesus, in speaking to the religious Leaders of His day says in John 5: 40: “and you are willing to come to Me, that you may have life.” In simplicity, I came to Jesus and He gave me life, and so much more than I could ever even have imagined. The Holy Spirit infused this life within me, found only in Jesus, and it has been an awesome awareness of being alive with a sense of purpose and joy, almost indescribable, unless also experienced. It is something that could never be conjured up or manipulated.
As I surrendered, a transfer of my old life for His new abundant Life took place. This gift is from God for all who believe in His Son Jesus, and it is forever; in other words, eternal life. James 1: 17: says, “Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, from the Father of Lights, with Whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.” Romans 11: 29: says, “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”
So many depend on their own personal achievements and success as a measure for what they believe to be life. Jesus says in John 3: 36: “He who has the Son has Eternal Life; and He who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so very much that in laying down Your Life for us, the Father delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us into Your Kingdom. Colossians 1: 13. I pray for all those who are seeking today, that they also may find in You abundant Life, Joy, purpose, and a knowledge that Eternal Salvation is secured for them. Glory to You alone!
