I am so very glad today for the Lord’s gentleness and care for all of us who have taken refuge in Him. Only the Lord Himself, who has made us, could ever erase the extreme sense of rejection and unworthiness that some of us have felt in our lives before surrendering to Him.
Imagine the frailty of a single reed, and the weakness of a dimly burning wick; these the Lord will not break, or put out. Both are either easily broken, or blown out by the slightest wind, or measure of weight. What awesome protection and care it takes for the Lord to keep His people out of harm’s way.
Psalm 91: 4: says, “He will cover you with His pinions, and under His Wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a Shield and a bulwark.” Only in Jesus do we find complete security. The peace we longed for is found only in Him; the joy we did not know existed, also only in Him.
Psalm 87: 7b: says, “All my springs of joy (my sources of life and joy) are in You.” As for Justice, Psalm 37: 6: says, “And He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday.” Imagine, not only saved and safe, but also established. 1 Peter 5: 10: says, “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace who called you to His Eternal Glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.”
Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: I could never thank you enough for all the time and effort that You have taken with me. Thank You for Your patience, and Your Holy Spirit Who takes infinite care in every detail of our life. Thank You for being mindful that we are but dust. Psalm 103: 14 Thank You as well that Your Glory can electrify the tiniest speck; for nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1: 37. Alleluia! Glory to You alone!
