Hebrews 4: 13 And there is no creature hidden from His (God’s) Sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the Eyes of Him with whom we have to do

Giselle's Devotional, by Giselle.

As far back as I can remember, even as a very young child, I had the awareness of God’s Presence around me, and a sense that He knew everything and could see everything. In Psalms 34: 15: we read, “The Eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.”

There are many Scriptures such as these, referring to the Lord as watching over the lives of His Creations. In Psalms 33: 15: it says, “He who fashions the heart of them all, He who understands all their works.” In Psalms 139: 3: it says, “Thou dost scrutinize my path and my lying down, and art intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even if I should ever refuse to believe that God knows and sees everything, it would never change the fact that He does.

In Habakkuk 1: 13: we read, “Thine Eyes are too pure to approve (look at) evil, and Thou canst not look on wickedness with favor. Now that I have this knowledge, I am responsible to make a choice with what I know. James 4: 17: says, “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do, and does not do it, to him it is sin.”

I cannot thank Jesus enough for His Mercy and Forgiveness, because only He has the Power to erase, through His Precious Blood, all those things which we would rather not have part of our lives. Our hope in coming to Jesus is that He can give each of us a new beginning every time we come to Him for help. Hebrews 4: 16: says, “Let us draw near with confidence to the Throne of Grace, that we may receive mercy and may find Grace to help in time of need. Psalms 103: 12: says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions (sins) from us. Psalms 37: 18: gives us the hope of the true justice of God that is to be revealed to us one day, “The Lord knows the days of the blameless; and their inheritance will be forever.”

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so much for the wonderful Love that You have shown us in spite of all that You have seen and heard. Thank You that Your mercy and Grace continues to be extended even now, through all the atrocities and wickedness of man. Undertake I pray for all who are victims of injustices all over the world, and may Your arms of Love come and bring much comfort to the oppressed and despairing. Glory to You alone!
