Hebrews 12: 3: “For consider Him Who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.”

Giselle's Devotional, by Giselle.

The greatest gift I have in the Lord Jesus is that He fulfilled the purpose for which He came. In verse 2, we read, “Who for the joy set before Him, endured the Cross, despising the shame. He kept on enduring, in spite of all hostilities, so that His mandate of laying down His Life for ours might be accomplished.

Because of what He accomplished, our lives are now hid with Jesus, and we can draw upon His courage when we face adversity from the sinful world around us.  All Christians must walk against the flow of the sinful world, which proclaims that anything goes. Paul says with absolute certainty in 2 Timothy 3: 12: “For all who truly want to live godly in Christ Jesus, will be persecuted.”

And in 2 Corinthians 12: 10: He says,”” Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” I find my greatest strength in times of adversity, “considering Jesus Who has endured,” because one day soon, He will return to bring Justice to rule. And of His Kingdom, there will be no end. He overcame that He might reign forevermore. And we must overcome that we might reign with Him.

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: You know those who are truly Yours. Thank You for Your overcoming and staying Power for Your Body all around the world. Thank you for Your Wisdom and Knowledge that are so needed today, to identify the fruit that is truly of the Holy Spirit. So many profess and confess, and yet produce fruit that is not consistent with the Tree of Life. Fill us with Your Holy Anointing that can break every yoke of bondage. Keep us totally Yours, in Your Name we pray. Glory to You alone!
