Psalm 31: 20: “Thou dost hide them in the secret place of Thy Presence from the conspiracies of man; Thou dost keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.”

What a blessed key promise for those who are truly committed to live in obedience to Jesus’ Words. The moment anyone ventures forth in the Name of Jesus to testify of His Goodness, he or she is sure to face a barrage of opposition. In this text above, King David, who had known more than his share of people coming against the will of God for his life, declares the wonderful Refuge from strife of tongues and conspiracies of man we have in God.

The Lord personally guaranties a shelter of total peace and safety for those whom He has chosen to be His own. What a joy to be able to hear the clatter from a distance, and knowing that nothing can harm you, because God has taken full responsibility for your utmost well-being. In Isaiah 41: 10 – 12: which bears repeating, the Lord confirms His Defense for His people by saying, “Do not fear for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am Your God. I will strengthen you. Surely I will help you; surely I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand. Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored; those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish. You will seek those who quarrel with you, but you will not find them, those who war with you will be as nothing and non-existent.”

There are so many examples that we could give of the Lord’s intervention in our lives; especially from these two verses above. I am so thankful to the Lord that He continues to give foreknowledge and wisdom beyond our ability to know in the natural. But it is also so very sad at times to see deception, indiscretion, and even counsel against the Lord, prevail within circles that one would never expect it to be, and definitely where they should never be.

Ephesians 4: 29 – 32: says, “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for the edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of Redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.”

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You for the Power of the Holy Spirit which enables us to stand firm in You in the midst of trying times, and unexpected opposition. I thank You for all the mighty deliverance (s) performed on our behalf throughout the years. May You strengthen those who seek Refuge under Your care, and allow Your protection to be a Strong Shelter of comfort and Grace. May You be Greatly Glorified today and always. Glory to You alone!
