In Isaiah 48: 17: we read, “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way you should go.” The Lord is continually wanting to lead, guide, direct, bless and increase those who draw near to Him through Jesus. Psalm 37: 23: says, “The steps of a (righteous) man are established (ordered) by the Lord; and He delights in his way (busies Himself with his every step).”
Psalm 35: 27: (amplified) says, “Let those who favor my righteous cause (vindication) and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say (continually), “Let the Lord be magnified who takes pleasure (delights) in the prosperity of His servant.” In Psalm 103: 2 – 5: we read, “Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.”
The Lord speaks very powerful words to His people in Deuteronomy chapter 28: here we read in verses 1 + 2 “Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments… the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you will obey the Lord your God. Here are some of these blessings in verses 3 – 14: “Blessed shall you be in the city…in the country; in the offspring of your body.. the produce of your ground.. in your basket and kneading bowl.. when come in and you go out. The Lord will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you… blessings in your barns and all that you put your hand to.. in the land which He gives you.. The Lord will establish you as a Holy people to Himself…all the people of the earth will know that you are called by the Name of the Lord… the Lord will make you abound in prosperity.. The Lord will open His good storehouse, the Heavens… The lord will make you the head and not the tail, you shall be above only and not underneath… All of these of these benefits and blessings are ours for the simple act of obedience to His Way of doing things in our lives.
John 14: 6: says, “Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”
Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so very much for the overwhelming blessings that You bestow upon us who take refuge in You. What awesome benefits for such small demands of simple obedience to Your spoken Word. May Your Holy Spirit draw us to deeper understanding and surrender to Your Will for our lives, as we commit all our cares upon You today. Glory to you alone!
