Romans 11: 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable (impossible to cancel, reverse, nullify, undo, or change)

Giselle's Devotional, home-page, by Giselle.

We, in our finite mind, could never fully understand the awesomeness which is spoken to us from today’s Scripture. When God chooses, or bestows a gift, or calling upon a person, group, or nation, it is impossible for man to do anything to change the Lord’s position, or the outcome for the person, group or nation chosen. Just to ponder on this truth boggles the mind, but there are many proofs all through God’s Word to more than confirm it.

Genesis 6: 8: + 7: 1: say, “But Noah found favor in the Eyes of the Lord. Then the Lord said to Noah, “Enter the Ark, you and your household; for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time (generation). It is very important to note that “in his time” and generation, for the span of life given to him (as all of us are allotted), Noah chose to honor the Lord.

Genesis 15: 1 + 6: says, “After these things the Word of the Lord came to Abram (Abraham) in a vision, saying, “Do not fear, Abram, I am a Shield to you; your reward will be very great.” Then he believed in the Lord; and He (God) reckoned it to him (Abraham) as righteousness.” Genesis 17: 19: “But God said , No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My Covenant with him for an everlasting (for all times) Covenant for his descendants after him.”

Romans 11: 5 + 22 + 32 – 33: says, “In the same way then, there has also come to be at this present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice. Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. For God has shut up all in disobedience that He might show mercy to all. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways.”

Mark 9: 7: says, “Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a Voice came out of the cloud, “This (Jesus) is My (God) beloved Son, listen to Him.  Jesus says in John 6: 37 – 40 + 44 – 45: “All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from Heaven, not to do My Own Will, but the Will of Him Who sent Me. And this is the Will of Him Who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the Will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son (Jesus) and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I Myself will raise him up on the last day. No one can come to Me, unless the Father Who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the prophets, “And they shall all be taught of God.” Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father (God), comes to Me (Jesus).”

Hebrews 7: 25: says, “Hence, also, He (God) is able to save forever (completely) those who draw near to God through Him (Jesus), since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You for being the irrevocable Choice-Gift from the Father for Eternal Salvation to all who would call upon Your Name. Thank You for the assurance that we have through Your Word that of all who come to You; not one will be cast away. Come by You Holy Spirit, and draw many in these very late hours to identify the calling of Your Voice through Your spoken Word, before any of our allotted time here on earth elapses. Encourage all those who know Your mercy to remain vigilant in the gifts and calling bestowed upon them, for the service of Thy Kingdom. Glory to You alone!
