2 Peter 3: 14: “Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things (signs of the end of the age), be diligent to be found by Him (God) in peace, spotless and blameless.”

We find in this Chapter amazing declarations and predictions about what is to transpire when the end-time, designated by the Lord, comes to the earth. In this day of error and tremendous deception, it is very important that we revert to first-hand account from the Word of God. Verse 2 – 3; say, “That you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by the apostles. Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep (passed away), all continues just as it was from the beginning of Creation.”

2 Timothy 4: 3: also tells us, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to myths.” So very evident by all the falseness propagated all over the world.

1 Thessalonians 5: 2 + 8 – 10: says, “For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that whether we  are awake (alive) or asleep (passed away), we may live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another, and build one another, just as also you are doing.”

2 Peter 3: 9 + 15a – 18: says, “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but all to come to repentance (asking for forgiveness and turning away from sin, and accepting Jesus as the atonement for one’s life). And regard the patience of the Lord to be Salvation. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard lest, being carried away by the error of unprincipled men, you fall away from your own steadfastness, but grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the Glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” Here we see the utmost importance on being vigilant to appraise all things, so that we may not fall into deception. 1 Corinthians 2: 15: says, “But the spiritual man tries all things (he examines, investigates, inquiries into, questions, and discerns all things), yet is himself is appraised (judged) by no one (he can read the meaning of everything).

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You for the tremendous honor we have in reading Your Word of Truth, at an hour when so many languish in earthly corruption, and for the meaning of life itself. Come by Your Holy Spirit, and draw many to discover, and rediscover Your Holy Word, that in reading it, they may be directed in Your Holy Will. The sum of Thy Word is truth, its unfolding gives Light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119: 160 + 130. Glory to You alone!
