John 1: 14: “And the Word (Jesus) became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory, Glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of Grace and Truth.”

It is not very difficult to imagine what it must have been like on earth before Jesus came; all we have to do is to go into any area of this earth, where He has not been invited to shine His Light and Glory; for when Jesus comes in, so does His Glory, Grace, and Truth, as well as all His Divine attributes!  Verse 4 + 9 + 16 says, “In Him (Jesus) was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. There was the true Light (Jesus) which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him (Jesus), and the world did not know Him. For of His fullness we have all received, and Grace upon Grace.”

The Word of God tells us of a great distinct difference between Light and darkness, and good and evil in the world, as in Isaiah 60: 1 – 3: saying, “Arise, shine, for your Light has come, and the Glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you, and the Glory of the Lord will appear upon you. And all nations will come to your Light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” This is so evident from the time of Jesus on earth, by the myriads of people who came to Him for healing, deliverance, and restoration, as in Matthew 4: 23 – 25: saying, “And Jesus was going about in all Galilee, teaching in their Synagogues, and proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every kind of sickness among the people. And the news about Him went out into all Syria; and they brought Him all who were ill, taken with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics, and He healed them. And great multitudes followed Him from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and from beyond the Jordan.” Jesus, their Light and Glory had come, and they came in throngs for their deliverance.

Jesus gives us phenomenal Words in the following verses, saying, “John 8: 12b: “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of Life.” John 12: 46: “I (Jesus) have come as Light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness.” John 3: 17 – 21: “For God did not send the Son (Jesus) into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; and he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

Jesus further gives us insight in Luke 11: 34 – 36; by saying, “The lamp of the body is the eye; when your eye is clear (healthy), your whole bode is also full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Then watch out that the Light in you may not be darkness. If therefore your whole body is full of Light, with no dark part in it, it shall be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.”

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so much for the greatness of Who You are. Come by Your Holy Spirit, and enable us to draw deeply the scope of Your attributes, which You came to impart into our lives. Draw many who are in deep darkness to cry out to You in their desperate states, as we once did, that they may also receive of Your fullness, Grace upon Grace. Glory to You alone!
