Psalm 42: 8: “The Lord will command His Lovingkindness in the daytime; and His Song will be with me in the night, a prayer to the God of my life.”

Giselle's Devotional, home-page, by Giselle.

Lovingkindness during the day and a song through the night, and so much more, are the benefits of those who seek shelter under the Shadow of the Almighty. In Exodus 19: 4 – 6b: we read, “You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on Eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself. Now then, if you will indeed obey My Voice and keep My Covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth in Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” What a wonderful portrait of our Heavenly Father’s awesome care toward His own.

Psalm 91: 11 – 12 + 14 – 16: says, “For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone. Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My Name. He will call upon Me and I will deliver him. With long life I will satisfy him, and let him behold My Salvation.” The Lord’s personal commitment to assure security for His own is more than the mind can fathom.

Isaiah 12: 2 – 4b – 6: says, “Behold God is my Salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the Lord God is my Strength and Song, and He has become my Salvation. Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of Salvation. Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His Name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His Name is exalted. Praise the Lord in song for He has done excellent things; let this be known throughout the earth. Cry aloud and shout for joy O inhabitant of Zion, for Great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”

Psalm 71: 3: says, “Be Thou to me a Rock of Habitation to which I may continually come; Thou hast given commandment to save me, for Thou art my Rock and my Fortress.” Psalm 32: 7: says, “Thou art my Hiding Place; Thou dost preserve me from trouble; Thou dost surround me with songs of deliverance.”

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so very much for Your constant oversight toward us who place our trust in You. Come by Your Holy Spirit, and draw many to know Eternal security in You right now. Fill us with Your Rivers of Living waters, that we may be continually overwhelmed by Your Love, Joy, and Song, both day and night. Glory to Yo alone!
