The recurring theme throughout God’s Word is His incessant outreach to man, in an attempt to draw attention to the wonderful blessings there are for anyone who would enjoy His Presence. From Adam and Eve in the garden to the end of Revelations, the invitation remains the same; “Where are you? to “The Spirit and the Bride, say “Come.”
The Lord created us, His creation in Whom He delights, to have wonderful fellowship with Him, which is why He has sent so many throughout the millenniums to tell us to “Repent, Come back to Me with all your heart (recognize the wrong in something you have done and be sorry about it; feel regret about a sin or past actions and change your ways or habits).” Once anyone returns to unbroken relationship with the Lord, we have our eyes open to the Lord’s Glory and wonderful deeds all around, and cannot help but blurt out to all His mind-boggling goodness and benefits in serving Him.
Verses 8: 12: say, “Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His Name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders. Glory in His Holy Name; Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad. Seek the Lord and His Strength; Seek His Face continually. Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His Mouth.”
Psalm 36: 7 – 10: says “How precious is Thy Lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Thy Wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Thy House; And Thou dost give them to drink of the river of Thy delights; For with Thee is the Fountain of Life; in Thy Light we see Light. O continue Thy Lovingkindness to those who know Thee, and Thy righteousness to the upright in heart.”
Psalm 73: 28: says, “As for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my Refuge, that I may tell of all Thy works.”
Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so very much for Your unrelenting, unyielding, and unswerving determination and resolve to capture our attention and heart for sweet companionship with You. Come by Your Holy Spirit, and fill us afresh to overflowing with gratitude for all that you have ever done for us. Draw many in this very late hour, away from the endless earthly and trivial pursuits, to an ever increasing closeness to Your Presence. Glory to You alone!
