Isaiah 40: 5 “Then the Glory of the Lord will be revealed. And all flesh will see it together; for the Mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

In Luke 3: 3b: we read, “The Word of God came to John (the Baptist) the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. And he came into all the district around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins; as it is written in the Book of the words of Isaiah (40: 3:) the Prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, make ready the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.” And these words still hold power and truth for us today, for from these verses we see a direct result of repentance, being the revelation of the glory of the Lord.

Jesus says in John 16: 8 – 11: “And He (the Holy Spirit), when He comes shall convict the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment.” The Holy Spirit has for this purpose to bring us to repentance (to right standing with God through the Blood of Jesus Christ applied for the washing away of all our sins), so that the life and glory of the Lord might be revealed in and through us. Once repentance takes place in one’s life, then the Lord is able to fill us with His Holy Spirit, thereby letting His very Presence revealed, through and within us.

Isaiah 60: 2: says, “For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you, and His glory will be revealed in you. Here again we see that the glory is revealed upon God’s people in a time when deep darkness covers the earth, and the people in it.

2 Corinthians 6: 14: says, “Do not be bound together (unequally yoked, do not make mismated alliances with them, or come under a different yoke with them inconsistent with your faith). For what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship have light with darkness? What harmony has Jesus Christ with (darkness), or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the Temple of God with idols? For we are the Temple of the Living God;  just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate, says the Lord. And do not touch what is unclean; and I will welcome you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty.”

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: what a powerful invitation to intimate fellowship with You we have through Your Holy Word today. Come by Your Holy Spirit, and fill us afresh with the awareness to the seriousness of this life set apart with You, to which You are really calling us. Mightily minister to all our hearts that Your Plan for our separation unto Yourself is to our greatest benefit and protection, and to Your greatest Glory. Glory to You alone!
