Psalm 119: 140: “Thy Word is very pure (tried and well refined), therefore Thy servant loves it.”

Giselle's Devotional, by Giselle.

As much as I love reading and writing the Word every day, it is of the utmost importance to me that God’s Word does the speaking, which is why most of these daily devotionals contain so many Scriptures. The Word of God is more than able to speak for itself; it is what the Lord has to say that determines everything in life.
Genesis 1: 1: “In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth;” God’s first words to us from His blueprints for our lives, and Revelation 22: 21: “The grace of our Lord Jesus be with all. Amen;” God’s final Words spoken to us in the Bible. And everything written in-between is for our instruction in building our lives, and making it safely to our eternal destination. John 1: 1 – 4 + 9 + 12: says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God, all things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. There was the true Light which coming into the world, enlightens every man. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right (power) to become children of God, even to those who believe on His Name (Jesus).”
Proverbs 4: 18 + 20: says, “But the path of the (uncompromisingly) just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until (it reaches its full strength and glory in) the perfect day (to be prepared). My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the issues of life.”
Jesus says in John 6: 63: “It is the Spirit Who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the Words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” In John 17: 17: Jesus says, “Sanctify them in the truth; Thy Word is truth.”
Jeremiah 29: 11 – 14a: says, “For I know the (thoughts and) plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare (and peace) and not for calamity (evil) to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes.

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so very much for Your Holy Word which is active and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. Thank You for the hunger You deposit within our hearts to receive more and more love for the truth of your Words and plans for our lives. Come by Your Holy Spirit, and enable us in child-like faith to believe that “You say what You mean,” and “mean what You say,” regardless of all opposing arguments from those who choose not to believe. Glory to You alone!
