In 1 John 4: 9: we read, “By this the Love of God was manifested in us that God sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.” God, in His all-knowing wisdom, knew that we needed an inside Helper, so He sent Jesus to conquer on our behalf, enabling Him to come by His Holy Spirit and reside within our hearts, and Help us live in Victory.
John 14: 16 – 17: says, “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of Truth whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.”
2 Corinthians 4: 7: says, “But we have this treasure (Jesus) in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the Power may be of God and not from ourselves. Verse 6b: says, “(God) is the One Who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the Glory of God in the Face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 12: 9: “And He said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for Power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the Power of Christ (Jesus the Anointed One) may dwell in me.” 1 Corinthians 2: 5: says, “That your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the Power of God.” 1 Peter 2: 4 + 5: says, “And coming to Him as to a Living Stone, rejected by men, but choice and precious in the Sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ.
Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: what wonderful words of hope we have in these Scriptures, that we have not been left to fend for ourselves, but You have provided Yourself as our Heavenly Helper to reside within us, for all that concerns us. We pray that this reality might be revealed more and more to Your Christian Body, that we may all walk in newness of life with boldness in our soul. Glory to You alone!
