We find in this Chapter amazing declarations and predictions about what is to transpire when the end-time, designated by the Lord, comes to the earth. In this day of error and tremendous deception, it is very important that we revert to first-hand account from the Word of God. Verse 2 – 3; say, “That you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by the apostles. Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep (passed away), all continues just as it was from the beginning of Creation.” 2 Timothy 4: 3: also tells us, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to myths.” So very evident by all the falseness propagated all over the world. 1 Thessalonians 5: 2 + 8 – 10: says, “For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.
