What a source of confidence we have in the Lord through His Word. Hebrews 11: 1: says, “Now faith is the assurance (substance) of things hoped for, and the conviction (evidence; everything that is used to determine or demonstrate the truth) of things not seen.” In order for us to have the substance and the evidence, we have to look to the Word of God already performed on behalf of all those who placed their trust in Him. The proof from past testimonies within God’s Word is our substance to believe it for ourselves. If the Lord did it for those within the Bible, He is more than still able to do it for us today. Our own past testimonies, and those that have been a blessing to us, are also proofs for us to cling to.
