Our society has been lambasted by such a barrage of verbally inadequate outbursts for so long, that it is not surprising how desensitized it is to what is even inappropriate, let alone offensive before the Lord.  It is not uncommon within Scripture to read entire sections about the importance of God creating man for the purpose of being a person of praise, and His displeasure at their hardness of heart not to obey Him, by setting their minds to grumbling and discontent. 1 Peter 2: 9: tells us who we are, and called to be in Jesus, saying, “But you are a Chosen Race, a Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation, a People for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the Excellencies of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous Light.” This verse puts to flight any leaning whatsoever toward this modern trend to familiarity, causing us instead to realize that we are now members of a Heavenly Kingdom, where praise is the expected language of the day. The people of God were brought through the wilderness when they left the land of Egypt, and could have reached the Promised Land within a short period of time.
