Jesus says in John 14: 1 – 3: “Let not your heart be troubled (distressed, agitated); believe (and adhere to, trust in, and rely on) in God, believe also (adhere to, trust in and rely on) in Me. In My Father’s House are many dwelling places (homes); if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a Place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” When I first read this Scripture I cried till I didn’t think I could ever have any more tears, and kept on crying for years, every time I read it. To think that Jesus had taken an interest in me personally, and was actively preparing a place for me in eternity, was too much to grasp. Jesus further speaks to His Father God of His desire concerning us, in His prayer in John 17: 24: saying, “Father, I desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My Glory, which Thou hast given Me before the foundation of the world.” Revelations 21: 1 – 7: says, “And I saw a new Heaven and a new earth; for the first Heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.
