We are often tempted in life because of our human nature, as we are also prone to do, to look at the difficulties that surround us, rather than at the Greatness that God has to deliver us. I liken it to certain telescopes and binoculars; on the one side you can see far away, while on the other you can see up close. If I use this analogy with any given situation in my life, I can see everything from either God’s perspective, or mine. The more I keep my eyes focused on a problem, the more that problem seems to grow, and sometimes right out of proportion. But if I turn to the Lord to see it from where He is seated in the Heavenly Places, as we read in Colossians 3: 1, I can somehow sort out the tangled issues. In Ephesians 2: 6: it says, “Because of the Father’s rich Mercy and great Love, we were made alive together with Him, and He has also seated us with Him where He is in that Heavenly Place.” It is like watching a parade from the top of a building, as opposed to seeing it go by at the street level.
