In verse 31c, we read, “He is a Shield to all who take refuge in Him.” What a marvelous security we have in the Lord. All earthly areas where I may find refuge for safety have the potential of being destroyed. The Lord however, assures us all through the Scriptures of the complete and total protection we have in Him. Isaiah 54: 10 says, “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My loving kindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken, says the Lord who has compassion on you.” In the Lord, we have an unbreakable Rock and an impregnable Strong Fortress. It would be futile for me to place my money into a safe that anyone could get into. For me to run to anyone else but to the Lord, for my temporal and eternal safety, would be just as senseless; for only He has the power to shield me from what is seen and unseen, known and unknown. In 2 Samuel 22: 29, we read, “For Thou art my Lamp, 0 Lord; and the Lord illumines my darkness.” Psalms 91: 11 and 14 – 15 says, “For He (God) will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.
