Luke 1: 37: “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Giselle's Devotional, home-page, by Giselle.

I would like to include a short testimony of our time in Street Ministry to personally attest to the truth of this above Scripture, so that your faith might be edified. Since there are literally thousands of these testimonies from several years, it is an honor to incorporate this very special one, to the Lord’s Glory alone. We first met John (not his real name) within the first few weeks of opening the doors of our storefront Ministry. Unlike most, he had a job, and had once been part of a Church family. He first began by volunteering at our refreshment counter, where unlimited free coffee and goodies were offered. He also began to attend weekly prayer times, where several people met in a very quiet and private setting. After a few weeks he asked for individual prayer, where he shared that he was divorced from his wife with five children. He also shared that his wife was living with someone else, and he needed God’s help for his own struggles in life. I remember sharing with him that absolutely nothing was impossible with God; and that’s what we had come to share at this Street Ministry. Week after week went by; he was gloriously saved one night by inviting Jesus to forgive him, and to take control of his life. He literally started to change right before our eyes, as we began to see direct answers to prayer for him and his family. A few months went by, and his wife’s partner left; and they began to be friends again. I remember how nervous he was when he told me they had their first date coming up. After two and a half years of persistent, steadfast, faith-believing prayer, they were remarried in the Church.  What a miracle! Glory to God alone! John is now active in Church, and paying it forward in prison ministry. And the question has been repeated a million times; what if we had not answered the call to go, when the Lord called us?

Ephesians 3: 20: says, “Now to Him (God) Who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we could ever ask of think according to the Power that works within us.” May this first-hand account of God’s Divine ability to intervene in one’s life greatly encourage and edify you to believe Him for your own situation in life, just as John in childlike-faith believed, and received.

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: I pray for all those who need to find a very quiet and private place in You today, that they may also find in You the answer to the needs of their life. May Your precious Holy Spirit quicken our heart to believe You for the impossible in our lives, and that you are not only able to Help, but also so very willing to Help in every way. I pray that You would bring us to complete surrender from our ways to Yours. Exchange the old for the new, and may Your precious Blood be sprinkled afresh upon us, that we may serve You in newness of life. 1 Peter 1: 2: says, “According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the Sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His Blood: May Grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.” Glory to You alone!
