God, Who knew us in our helpless state, even before we were born, provided that His Son Jesus would come and take residence in our heart, to help us live through this pilgrim journey here on earth. What a marvelous forethought of Love and Grace extended throughout the ages to all who would believe on Him. Jesus, being there through thick and thin; High Priest to intercede, Friend to comfort and to cheer, Counselor to direct and to guide, Lord to help us stand, and be the Lifter of our head.
Hebrews 3: 1: says, “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession; He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.”
In every possible situation He becomes the Strength through which the victory is won, the Song that sings at midnight, the Grace that helps us hang on just for another moment, even after the millionth one has just expired. How Gracious and Beautiful is your Love to us, O Lord.
Dearest Lord Jesus: thank you for seeing our need, way before we knew we ever had one, and making Yourself available to us so that we would not be left to despair. You made the water before man ever knew he had a thirst, the air before he even took his first breath, the earth way before he ever took his first step. All that we could ever need to survive; and then Jesus, for You to live in us, making sure that we would return to You safely, once again. May You be greatly glorified today! All Glory to You alone!
