As I look at these words today, my first thoughts turn to the fact that King David, a man after God\u2019s own Heart, wrote them. With absolutely no influence from modern-day Media or hype in his life, he was able to simplify the two most important areas of focus in one\u2019s life; the one being where one\u2019s allegiance lies, and the other, the fulfillment of aspirations. I just have to assume that both in David\u2019s day were a lot simpler to identify.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n I am continually amazed with King David\u2019s uncanny ability and boldness to call a spade a spade. The wicked were wicked, and the righteous were righteous; and both were easily identifiable. It is so simple, the blessings of God came to those whose lives were under God\u2019s Covering, and the punishment of the Lord came to those who were intent on evil. And a lot of the emphasis on the evil things that were done, was that the wicked plotting against the righteous.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n I believe it is so important today that we search our hearts with the Light of these simple and undeniable truths, because the outcome of what we do will determine who we are, and whether or not we will benefit in receiving the desires of heart. Jesus tells us in Matthew 16: 21: \u201cthat we can know a tree by its fruit, and that a bad tree cannot produce good fruit, nor can a good tree produce bad fruit.\u201d Then Jesus goes on to say that not everyone who will call Him \u201cLord, Lord,\u201d will enter the Kingdom of Heaven; but only those who do the Will of His Father.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: You spoke the Word \u201cDesire\u201d three times. Twice to say, \u201cI desire compassion and not sacrifice,\u201d in Matthew 9: 13:\u00a0 + 12: 7. The other in John 17: 24: \u00a0where you prayed, \u201cFather I desire that they also whom Thou hast given me be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My Glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world.\u201d I pray that You come and sprinkle our heart afresh with Your Precious Holy Blood, that we might be cleansed from all unrighteousness. May Your Holy Spirit give us insight in the ways of compassion, that they may become evident in our life, so that we might be found pleasing in Your Sight.
