It is of the utmost importance that what I believe, and in whom I believe, be very clear. Based on the answer I give to these two questions will determine my temporal and eternal well-being. In verse 5, it says, \u201cAnd who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?\u201d The very Power I receive to overcome in this world depends on my faith in Who Jesus is, and if I believe He is, and who He says He is.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In John 16: 9: \u00a0Jesus speaking of the Holy Spirit\u2019s conviction to the world says, \u201cConcerning sin, because they do not believe in Me.\u201d Anyone who refuses to believe in Jesus sins against the Father\u2019s gift of Love for mankind. John 3: 16: says, \u201cFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.\u201d In John 17: 8: \u00a0Jesus says, \u201cAnd this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only True God, and Jesus Christ Whom Thou hast sent.\u201d In Matthew 10: 32: Jesus says,\u201d Everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess before My Father Who is in Heaven.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0It is obvious by what Jesus says in this last verse that I cannot be a closet believer. My confession has to be public, and my actions as well as my words must align themselves with what I say I believe. Romans 1: 16 + 17: says, \u201cFor I am not ashamed of the Gospel (Good news of Jesus), for it is the Power for God for Salvation to everyone who believes\u2026For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, \u201cBut the righteous man shall live by faith.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so very much for being the Father\u2019s Gift of Love to me. Thank You for all that you underwent and overcame on our behalf. May You strengthen Your remnant Body today to keep our eyes on You, and to keep confessing Your Name in all the different areas of the world we live in.
