An expanded version of this verse says, \u201cSow for yourselves according to righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); reap in accordance to mercy and lovingkindness. Break up your uncultivated ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, to inquire for and of Him, and to require His favor, till He comes and teaches you righteousness and rains His righteous gift of Salvation upon you.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Lord speaks to us further in Isaiah 55: 6 – 8: telling us, \u201cSeek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are My ways your ways,\u201d declares the Lord. For as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than you ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. Here we see from the Lord’s perspective a direct link between a person’s wicked action, and his being wicked, and a man’s unrighteous or evil thoughts, and his being unrighteous.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hosea 6: 3 + 6: says, \u201cYes, let us press on to know (recognize, be acquainted with, and understand) Him; let us be zealous to know the Lord (to appreciate, give heed to, and cherish Him). His going forth is prepared and certain as the dawn, and He will come to us as the (heavy) rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth. For I (the Lord) desire and delight in loyalty (dutiful steadfast love and goodness), not sacrifice, and (the Lord delights in) the knowledge of and acquaintance with God more than burnt offerings.\u201d Hosea 12: 6: \u00a0says, \u201cTherefore, return to your God, observe kindness (hold fast to love and mercy, to righteousness and justice, and wait (expectantly) for your God (continually).\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hosea 14: 2: says, \u201cTake words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him, \u201cTake away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may present the fruit of our lips.\u201d It is evident from this verse that we are unable to come before the Lord with praise, if we have un-confessed sins in our hearts. Psalm 50: 23 says, \u201cHe who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; and to him who orders his way (conversation) aright (repents from his own unrighteous way of doing things) I shall show the Salvation of God.\u201d Psalm 32: 6: says, \u201cTherefore let everyone who is godly pray to Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; surely in a flood of great waters (trials) they shall not reach (the spirit in) him.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hosea 14: 8b – 9: says, \u201cIt is I (God) Who answer and look after you. I am like a luxuriant cypress; from Me comes your fruit. Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning (prudent), let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the (uncompromisingly) righteous (just) will walk in them, but transgressors will stumble (and fall) in them.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so very much for Your awesome truths we have from Your Holy Word.
