What precious and priceless promises and benefits are given to the Psalmist as a result of his love and devotion to the Lord, but also for knowing the Holy Name of God. An extended version says, \u201cBecause he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him High, because he knows and understands My Name (has a personal knowledge of My Mercy, Love, and Kindness- trusts and relies on me, knowing I will never forsake him, no never).\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Verses 1 + 4 + 15 – 16 say, \u201cHe who dwells in the Shelter (Secret Place) of the Most High will abide (remain stable and fix) in the Shadow of the Almighty (Whose Power no foe can withstand). He will cover you with his pinions, and under His wings you (will trust and) may seek Refuge; His faithfulness is a Shield and Bulwark (fortification). He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor. With long life I will satisfy him, and let him behold My Salvation.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What a blessing it would be to know that same intensity of protection, and all-encompassing love from the Lord. Jesus gives us the way in which we are to find God\u2019s Favor, in John 6: 28 – 29 + 40 + 63 + 65: says, \u201cThey said therefore to Him (Jesus), \u201cWhat shall we do, that we may work the works of God (that we may carry out what God requires)? Jesus answered them and said, \u201cThis is the work (service) that God asks of you; that you believe in the One (Jesus) Whom He has sent (that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger). For this is the will of My Father (God), that everyone who beholds the Son (Jesus) and believes in Him, may have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day. It is the Spirit Who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the Words that I have spoken to you are Spirit and are Life. And He (Jesus) was saying, \u201cFor this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless it has been granted him from the Father (God).\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so much for undertaking for all that concerns us. Come by Your Holy Spirit, and fill us afresh with Your Power, that we may be quickened in our faith to cleave and rely on You for all that pertains to life. Draw many who need Your Divine Love, protection, and purpose in their lives, to call, and believe upon Jesus, that they also may know the Joy of Your Salvation and Deliverance.
