This verse allows us a window into the depths of the knowledge of God, as He is able to appraise the very words of our mouths, and even the thoughts of our hearts. David the Psalmist acknowledges his personal responsibility and awareness, that he is answerable for his own behavior before a Mighty and Holy God. We are also confronted with the personal choice one has with the conversations that come out of one\u2019s mouth.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 119: 9 + 11 + 105: says, \u201cHow can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Thy Word\u201d. Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I may not sin against Thee. Thy word is a Lamp to my feet, and a Lamp to my path.\u201d In these verses we have the answer to how our words and meditations may be pleasing to the Lord; by having God\u2019s Word live within our heart.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Jesus expands on this subject in Matthew 12: 34b – 37: saying, \u201cFor the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man out of his good treasure brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of his evil treasure what is evil. And I say to you, that every careless word that men shall speak, they shall render account for it in the Day of Judgment. For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.\u201d How much more severe the personal responsibility of each one of us, when we hear the words coming from the Lord Himself?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 17: 3: says, \u201cThou hast tried my heart; Thou hast visited me by night; Thou hast tested me and dost find nothing (no evil purpose in me or in my mouth); I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress (commit a crime, do wrong by disobeying a law, command, or moral code).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 15: 1 – 5: says, \u201cO Lord, who may abide in Thy Tent? Who may dwell in Thy Holy Hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 51: 6 + 10 + 17: says, \u201cBehold Thou dost desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part Thou wild make me know wisdom. Create in me a clean heart, O God, ad renew a right spirit within me.\u00a0 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, Thou wild not despise.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so much that we still have time today to make it right with You. Thank You that Your Precious Holy Blood shall never lose its Power to save and to cleanse, and that Your Mercy and Your Grace will never fail to welcome all who would make an exchange of their poverty to Your riches in Glory, through which all may live.
