A more elaborated version of this verse reads, \u201cDo not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside). (He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God) For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.”<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The following \u00a0two verses 8 – 9 tell us, \u201cFor the one who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) shall from the flesh reap corruption, decay, and ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the (Holy) Spirit shall from the (Holy) Spirit reap Eternal Life. And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing good (right), for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not grow weary, loosen and relax our courage and faint.” Here we see that there is also an earthly harvest that comes with the choices we make.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many of us who have had the joy of gardening, know that what we sow needs to be tended to carefully, and with a strong determination to work at the process from beginning to end. First the soil has to be turned, the weeds pulled and cleared, areas for sowing, the planting, the watering, some seeds will not grow unless they are covered for a period of time, tending till it grows, the pruning, more weeding; then the harvest, and so much more in-between. Needless to say, if one does not like work, they should not contemplate gardening. Very similarly, our spiritual lives need to be tended with the same precision and process for harvest, and Eternal Destination.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus explains to us very plainly and fearfully, how sowing and reaping are viewed from God\u2019s perspective, as in Matthew 13: 37 – 41: \u201cAnd He (Jesus) answered and said, \u201cThe One who sows the good seed is the Son of Man (Jesus), and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the Kingdom, and the tares are the sons of the evil one; and the enemy that sowed them is the \u2026 and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. Therefore just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man (Jesus) will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His Kingdom all stumbling blocks (all causes of offense, persons by whom others are drawn into error or sin) and those who commit lawlessness (do iniquity, and act wickedly), and will cast them into the furnace of fire, in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God) will shine forth like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Let him who has ears to hear be listening, and let him consider and perceive and understand by hearing.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What fearful Words, and cause for immediate and constant repentance! Jesus says in Matthew 24: 44: \u201cFor this reason you be ready too; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: thank You so much for coming to seek and to save that which was lost in the weeds of this world. Thank You for the Power You exerted to transfer us from the Kingdom of darkness into Your marvelous Light. Come by Your Most Holy Spirit, and bring the awareness of an impending, decisive, and final harvest, which will come upon all those ever born. Fill us with Your Holy Wisdom to know our standing with You at this very late hour in which we live, and may all call upon Your Name for mercy to evade eternal separation from Thy Holy Presence.
