As long as I can remember, I have needed to cast my own understanding on to the Lord. If I want to know that I trust the Lord implicitly, I just have to look at where my thoughts have been. I have often said that, “a thought is just a thought, until you dwell on it long enough, then it becomes an imagination. Then, if I dwell on that imagination so long that it gets a hold on me, it can very well become a stronghold.” God is so good to have given us so much wisdom through His Word, and through His faithful servants who trusted Him and wrote the Holy Scriptures for us. He allowed us to have His Word as provision even before we lived, so that we would not have to be slaves to our own ways and understandings. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 8: 3 says, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but on everything that proceeds out of the Mouth of God.” Psalms 119: 105, it says, “God’s Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” In John 1: 1 we read, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” In verse 14, we read these powerful words, “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory, Glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of Grace and Truth.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\nAs we ask Jesus to come and live within by faith, we are receiving the very Living Word of God within our hearts. As we read His Word daily, we sustain the measure of faith that He has imparted to us; as it says in Romans 12: 3b: “For God has allotted to each a measure of faith.” In Romans 10: 17 we read, “Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of Christ (the Anointed One)”. As we then rely on His wisdom “Full of Grace and Truth”, and we acknowledge Him in all our ways, we know that He will make our paths straight, as noted in Proverbs 3: 6. Romans 12: 2 says, \u201cAnd do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that is good and acceptable and perfect.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dearest Holy Lord Jesus: Thank you so much for the riches that we have in You. Every day we find new strength, new life, and a new perspective, as we rely on you for the direction of our lives. Undertake, O Lord, for all who are hindered in their minds by any fear, oppression, or deception ,and bring the truth of Your Holy Word to bear on all their thoughts and ways. Bring deliverance and hope, and make Your Light to shine, where it has seldom and perhaps never shone before.
